The Bruckland Team

Company Director
Joe Bruckland
Joe founded Bruckland Developments in 2017 and has since resided over an impressive portfolio of high-end residential projects across Surrey and the home counties.
It is Joe’s energy and passion for superior craftsmanship and his drive for delivering outstanding quality across every aspect of the business, which has led to Bruckland’s strong financial performance and the company’s enviable reputation.
From the location of the sites selected for development through to their design, delivery and eventual handover to the customer, Bruckland is renowned for delivering exceptional homes in highly desirable destinations.
Initially a carpenter and joiner by trade, Joe understands the workings of a live site and the intricacies of the construction process. This grass-roots knowledge combined with his very hands-on approach ensures that excellence is always delivered, without compromise. His meticulous eye for detail is evident, throughout every Bruckland project.
Working closely with a team of handpicked agents, Joe drives through every sale and always makes sure that every Bruckland customer receives a superior level of service.
Bruckland Developments is a dynamic and evolving entity. Joe is keen to drive the business forward to new heights and is seeking new investment to support the company’s ambitious plans for growth.

Land Director
Chris Maunders
Chris is an experienced Land Director, with over 30 years of industry experience. He has worked on behalf of private developers, construction firms and major housebuilders, giving him a broad insight into land planning and acquisition.
His strong industry network, combined with his unrivalled local knowledge, means he is ideally positioned to source and execute superior development opportunities for Bruckland Developments across some of the most desirable locations within Surrey and the wider home counties.
As part of the senior leadership team, Chris works in partnership with his fellow Land Director. It is their role to ensure that a pipeline of feasible and lucrative development opportunities are identified and nurtured, and that optimum value is always achieved, when negotiating the purchase of land.
From identifying off and on-market land opportunities to harbouring relationships with relevant external bodies, consultants, architects and other stakeholders, Chris has a key role to play in the company’s future growth plans.

Land Director
Gary Durden
As Land Director, Gary brings with him a strategic approach and a wealth of experience across planning and land acquisition. Having previously worked for some of the UK’s leading housebuilders, as well as running his own residential projects, Gary successfully combines hands-on, practical expertise with a sound knowledge and understanding of what is often, a challenging and complex planning system.
Gary has joined the Bruckland team at a pivotal time, bringing a new energy and drive to the company’s ambitious growth plans. Formerly a partner in a small residential development company, as well as a director of his own consultancy, Gary’s broad experience, insight and expertise mean he is perfectly positioned to steer the company’s long-term land acquisition and planning strategy.
Working alongside the existing Directors, Gary is looking to propel the business forward, through the successful targeting and acquisition of prime residential development sites, across the home counties and London boroughs.

Design Lead & Customer Care
Steph Murray
Steph has been an integral part of the Bruckland Developments team since its inception and holds a multi-faceted role within the business.
Working closely with our network of trusted agents, Steph ensures that every sale is prioritised and maintains momentum, while customers remain informed and supported throughout. Steph also heads up Bruckland’s aftercare service, meeting with customers at hand over and supporting them post completion.
Her intrinsic knowledge of the business, combined with her proactive and caring nature, means she is the ideal candidate to guide and support Bruckland’s customers, through their home buying journey with us.
Steph also acts as our interior design lead. Her passion and flair for interior design means she is ideally placed to influence the internal layouts and interior specification of our homes, as well as the interior design of our show homes. It is her attention to detail and her ability to really visualise how customers will live within their new home, which ensures every one of our properties supports practical, day to day living, while delivering a unique sense of style and individuality.

Land Manager
Charlie Emery
Working alongside the company’s Land Directors, Charlie has joined the team to support the expansion of Bruckland’s land bank and future development pipeline.
With a background in estate agency, where he proved highly successful in identifying viable land opportunities and negotiating the subsequent sales on behalf of his clients, Charlie has developed a deep understanding of both the local landscape, and the land buying process.
Keen to further hone these skills and to join a forward thinking and rapidly growing business, where he could have a real impact, Charlie joined the Bruckland team in early 2025.
Eager to utilise his already impressive local knowledge and his expanding network of contacts, Charlie is already proactively seeking out new sites and supporting the company’s plans for growth.
From identifying potential sites to managing the acquisition and subsequent planning, Charlie is involved in delivering all elements of Bruckland’s long-term land acquisition and planning strategy.
The JVB Construction Team

Commercial Director
Alan Tamkin
Alan joined the business in 2022. He boasts an impressive network of established, industry contacts and brings with him with a wealth of knowledge and expertise, spanning over 24 years in the industry.
Alan works closely with both the construction team and the finance team to ensure that every project exceeds expectations, while delivering strong financial returns.
Alan oversees all commercial aspects of the business, from procurement and contract negotiation, through to risk management and budgetary control. His strong financial and analytical skills, combined with his fundamental knowledge and understanding of both the construction process and industry-wide standards, means he is ideally placed to help drive the business forward and strengthen its future.
Alan plays a critical role in ensuring the financial success and commercial viability of every Bruckland project. Delivering maximum value, while never compromising on the quality of the product we deliver.

Contracts Manager
Darren Whittingham
As Contracts Manager, Darren plays a crucial role. He ensures that all Bruckland projects run safely, remain on schedule and are delivered within budget, while maintaining an exceptional level of build quality throughout.
With a background in carpentry and business management, Darren has valuable hands-on experience and is well versed is all aspects of construction as well as contract and site management.
For Darren, health and safety is paramount. He ensures that all sites are well managed and that all contractors adhere to the necessary health and safety legislation, at all times.
He holds strong relationships with all stakeholders and ensures a two-way flow of communication, throughout every project.
Darren’s in-depth knowledge, combined with his proactive, thorough approach and superior problem-solving skills means he plays a key role in the successful, day-to-day running of all our projects.

Finance Manager
Emma Morris
Emma brings with her over 10 years of experience, working within the construction industry.
Emma is responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s daily financial operations and accounts. From financial planning and reporting to compliance, Emma plays a pivotal role in ensuring the business always runs smoothly.
From managing cash flow and tracking the company’s sales and purchase ledgers to running the payroll, Emma is key to the efficient running of Bruckland’s day to day operations.
It is a fast paced and complex role, which is ideally suited to Emma’s astute nature and her expert knowledge and understanding of the construction industry, as well as the broader financial landscape.
Emma also supports the wider running of the office. She plays a key role in the introduction and implementation of new systems and processes, as well as staff training, and is tasked with ensuring that the office support team delivers a professional service and always adheres to best practice.

Architect & Technical Manager
Roman Stuller
Roman is a qualified architectural technologist, with over 20 years of experience working on behalf of architectural practices and developers. He specialises in classical and traditional architecture, with a focus on the high-end residential sector.
His expertise in building science and technology, together with his extensive knowledge of architectural design, sees schemes seamlessly translated from drawings through to build phase, while always paying close attention to detail at every stage of the project. Working in close collaboration with the team, Roman plays a key role in ensuring that all homes are built to the highest possible standards.
His technical knowledge, combined with his creative flair, make him an asset to the Bruckland team, as the business strives to grow and moves its focus towards the delivery of larger-scale developments.
From conducting feasibility studies and developing concept schemes to delivering 3D modelling and CGI imagery, Roman’s experience and technical skill set, mean he is ideally placed to support and add value to the existing, in-house team. Giving Bruckland greater control and flexibility, across all projects.
Roman’s attention to detail, proactive approach and impressive industry experience makes him a valuable addition to the Buckland team.

Junior Quantity Surveyor
Jai Thornburn
As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, Jai has joined Bruckland Developments on an apprenticeship. He has been learning his craft under the guidance of our Commercial Director and our Contracts Manager.
This varied role has seen Jai get involved in numerous aspects of the business, from procurement and cost estimating to inputting into budgets, tracking project costs, and negotiating contracts. With a good financial grounding and an eye for detail, Jai has an important role to play in ensuring that all Bruckland projects are delivered on budget.
Jai’s proactive approach, combined with strong communication skills mean he is ideally placed to work across multiple stakeholders within the business. He has forged good working relationships with our project managers, architects, engineers and contractors, ensuring cost accuracy and timely project delivery at all times.
Working in Partnership
We work in partnership with our chosen delivery partner JVB Construction Ltd to deliver all of our new build developments across London and the South East. With a shared ethos and a passion for delivering premium homes of a high standard, we work together as a united team to produce exceptional homes for our customers.
